Who they are
Martock works with the Canadian Ski Patrol — trained first-aiders in the unmistakable red jackets with the white cross. They open and sweep the hill, mark hazards, run rescues and provide first aid through every operating day.
If you need help
- Mark the spot: plant a pair of skis in an X in the snow above an injured person.
- Send for patrol: note the trail name and nearest marker, and tell a lift operator or any staff member.
- Stay put: if you’re in a collision, you must remain at the scene (Alpine Code #5).
Join the patrol
The Canadian Ski Patrol is largely volunteer. If you’re a strong skier or rider who wants to give back, see Links or ask at the office.
