Where they are
Slow zones are posted around the hill’s busiest and most beginner-heavy spots — the Learning Zone and magic carpet, the beginner trails, and the merge areas near the base lodge where traffic comes together.
What’s expected
- Ski and ride at a slow, controlled speed — no straight-lining, no big turns at speed.
- Give learners and stopped skiers plenty of room.
- Keep your head up and anticipate sudden stops.
Slow zones are part of the Mountain Safety Rules, and our friend Pace Penguin helps the youngest skiers remember them. Patrol may pull lift privileges for repeated reckless riding in a slow zone.
