Mountain Safety Rules

A few house rules — on top of the Alpine Code — that keep the hill safe and friendly.

House rules

  • Helmets are strongly recommended for all guests and required in some programs.
  • Ski and ride in control at all times; respect slow zones.
  • Stay on open, marked trails. Closed trails and areas are closed for a reason.
  • Lift loading: follow the operator’s directions, lower the bar, and raise it only at the top.
  • No alcohol or impairment on the hill or lifts.
  • Uphill travel / skinning only where and when posted as permitted.
  • Report incidents and hazards to Ski Patrol or any staff member.

These rules sit alongside the Alpine Responsibility Code and the Freestyle Terrain Code. Read our full Safety Policy.
